The woman, in her 60s, was treated by Magpas whilst firefighters released her from the car after the collision at 9.45am. She was taken to Addenbrookes Hospital by helicopter with a serious but not life threatening head injury. Her daughter, who was also in the car, was not trapped. She was taken to Addenbrookes with non-life threatening injuries. Police have closed the westbound A14 between junction 26, at St Ives, and junction 24, at Godmanchester where the incident occurred. Officers were called to a four-vehicle crash on the slip road. The Highways Agency expect the road to reopen at 3pm.
