More than 40 new jobs will be created when national food chain Nando’s opens its doors in Huntingdon next month.
The fast-food chicken restaurant will operate out of the former Blockbuster store on the Towerfields Leisure Park.
Nando’s, an international restaurant chain originating from South Africa, with a Mozambican/Portuguese theme, was founded in 1987 and has 333 branches in the UK,
Planning permission was granted by Huntingdon District Council to allow Nando’s to change the shopfront, put up signs and install an outside seating area, comprising of five tables and 20 chairs. Towerfields is already home to a number of restaurants, as well as a cinema and a gym.
The restaurant will open on September 2 and create 40 part-time and full-time jobs.
