A teenager from St Neots braved the barber’s clippers as she had her head shaved for children’s charity, Happy Days.
Millie Taylor, 16, completed the feat at Headz Up Hair Studio, in Brampton, on Monday, waving goodbye to about 12 inches of hair in the process.
The former Hinchingbrooke School pupil decided to have her head shaved as part of the National Citizen Service initiative, a scheme for 15-17-year-olds which sees them take part in four-week programme of activities, charity work, and experiences.
Millie, who is planning to continue her studies at college after the summer holidays, said it felt “a bit different” not having her hair but added that she was pleased she had decided to do it.
The Happy Days charity provides unique experiences and holidays for children suffering with serious illnesses or coping with adversity.
