Huntingdon Together, in Princes Street, has been advertised has having all the qualities of a charity shop but with two special features. One of those is that people who bring in items to donate will receive 50 per cent of the sale price if it sells within a certain time period. As well as a scheme entitled Surplus Share that will give vegetable growers the opportunity to donate surplus fruit and vegetables for others to purchase at low cost. The opening of the shop was welcomed in by the Military Wives Choir who also featured at the Huntingdon Town Council Christmas light switch on. Managed by Emma Cameron and Christine Haworth the shop will support volunteering in Huntingdonshire by employing a number of volunteers and also the Huntingdon Volunteers Office.
