A man will appear before a judge at crown court charged with possession of a knife and causing grievous bodily harm following an incident in Brampton.

Daniel Board, from Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, is alleged to have been carrying a knife in the car park of the village’s branch of the Co-op, in High Street, on December 21.

Board also stands accused of a count of wounding a man in his 20s, with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Board, 29, was arrested by police and subsequently remanded in custody by magistrates at a hearing in Cambridge on December 22.

He will appear via video link on January 6 for a pre-trial hearing at Peterborough Crown Court.
