A man suffered head injuries after falling from an attic at a home in Bury on Sunday (January 9).

Magpas Helimedix Dr Rod Mackenzie and Paramedic Oliver Robinson rushed to Redebourn Lane in a rapid response vehicle. They arrived at 12.50pm, where the man in his fifties had fallen onto a landing.

A fire crew from Ramsey were also called to the scene at 1.05pm. Once the Magpas team had assessed the patient and administered pain relief, the firefighters worked alongside an ambulance crew to safely remove the man from the house on a long board.

The Helimedix then accompanied him in a land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge for further investigation.

On arrival, the man was in a stable condition.
