A man suffered “potentially life-threatening” injuries after a crash between a lorry and a car near Alconbury Airfield.
One fire crew from Sawtry and one from Huntingdon were called to the incident on the B1043 at 7.53pm yesterday (Thursday). They used cutting equipment to free a man in his 30s, before he was taken by ambulance to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge. He had multiple injuries, including to his legs and chest.
A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service, who attended alongside a Magpas land crew, said: “His injuries were potentially life-threatening but not thought to be immediately life-threatening.”
