A man was taken to hospital after suffering serious arm injuries and had to be freed from his lorry after it overturned just outside Huntingdon on Tuesday night.
A team from Magpas, using the charity’s rapid response vehicle, attended the scene on the Brampton Road at 7.36pm and worked alongside the fire service to free the man from the lorry. The Magpas team assessed the man, who had suffered serious arm injuries, and provided him with advanced pain relief. The Helimedix team then accompanied the man to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge by land ambulance, where on arrival he was in a stable condition.
Another patient, who did not suffer serious injuries, was assessed at the scene by an EAST Anglian Ambulance Service and taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital for further treatment.
