A man suffered burns after a fire broke out at a house in Huntingdon on Saturday.
Firefighters were called to a house in Lavender Court at about 3.30pm and were joined at the scene by paramedics from Magpas and the East of England Ambulance Service.
A man, believed to be in his 60s, was rescued from the house before being rushed to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, for treatment.
A spokesman for the ambulance service said that the man suffered burns in the incident.
A spokesman for Cambridgshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Wearing breathing apparatus, firefighters extinguished the fire using a hose reel and cleared the smoke using a positive pressure ventilation fan.
“One male casualty was rescued from the building and given first aid before being left in the care of ambulance crews.”
Investigations into the cause of the fire are being conducted.
