A team from Magpas was called to a location near Huntingdonshire Regional College at about 7.30pm, where they treated a man who was having a cardiac arrest. Doctor Charlotte Haldane and paramedic Alex Pearce arrived in Huntingdon via a Magpas Air Ambulance rapid response vehicle. A spokesman for Magpas said: The enhanced medical team assessed the patient, who was in his 70s, who was placed into a medically-induced coma at the scene. They then accompanied him to Papworth Hospital via land ambulance where he was in critical condition upon arrival. A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance service said: We were called to reports of a patient in cardiac arrest in Avenue Road, at 7.18pm. Three ambulances and the Magpas rapid response vehicle attended the scene. Crews worked together to treat the patient, who was taken to Papworth Hospital in a critical condition.
