A man was freed by firefighters after his car landed upside-down in a water-filled ditch in Tilbrook yesterday (Monday).
One female casualty had escaped the vehicle when crews arrived, but her husband remained trapped in the ditch on the B645 Three Shires Hill.
Two fire crews and a rescue vehicle were called at 9.57pm followed by a hazardous area response team, two ambulances and a Magpas rapid response vehicle.
The male, in his 30s, was eventually released from the vehicle using specialist equipment and both casualties were treated on site for minor injuries.
Crews returned to their stations by 11.45pm.
