A MAN was knocked unconscious during an early-hours confrontation in Huntingdon on Sunday (March 27).
The incident began when two men confronted each other in High Street at about 4.30am.
Three more men then became involved on one side and the man on his own was kicked and punched. One of the attackers also used a belt from his trousers.
The man was knocked unconscious but then came round and walked away, with blood on his top, before police arrived.
After the incident some of the men involved went into a nearby taxi business.
Police are now appealing for anyone who was in the area at the time, including the victim and a man who tried to help him, to come forward.
Detective Sergeant Claire Hewson said: “We are keen to speak to the injured man but also anyone else who was around at the time.”
INFORMATION: Anyone with information should contact DS Hewson at Huntingdon Police station on 0345 456 456 4, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
