Man is arrested as ‘siege’ incident in St Ives is brought to an end

A man in his 40’s has been arrested under suspicion of Actual Bodily Harm in connection with an incident in St Ives.

Armed police were called to a property in Clark Drive, at about 2.54am, following reports of violence between two men.

One man, understood to be in his 30s, received minor injuries as a result of the incident.

Armed police and other officers remained at the scene into the early afternoon before a second man was arrested and the incident declared safe.

According to a spokesman for Cambridgeshire police, the arrested man has been taken to Parkside Police Station, in Cambridge.
