A man has died after a fire in a house in St Neots.
Firefighters were called to Hen Brook, Eynesbury at 5.30am yesterday (Sunday) after neighbours heard a loud bang.
They forced their way in and found a man downstairs near the back door after using a thermal imaging camera.
He was given CPR by firefighters and police officers but they could not revive him.
The fire was found to have started in a cupboard under the stairs.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service added: “A fire investigation determined the cause of the fire to be accidental, by electrical.”
