A MAN has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon following an attack in Huntingdon yesterday (July 24).
Police were called to reports of an assault in Macbeth Close at 7.20am, in which a man had been seriously injured.
Officers with firearms carried out a search of the area and arrested a 45-year-old man in connection with the incident.
The victim was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital and was in a serious but not life threatening condition yesterday afternoon.
Wayne Massie, 45, of Sapley Park, Huntingdon, has been charged with causing grievous bodily harm and possessing an offensive weapon.
He will appear before Huntingdon Magistrates today (July 25).
