A 25-year-old man has been charged in connection with two incidents in St Neots involving an air weapon and an axe.
Cornelius Smith, of Dukes Road, Eaton Socon, has been charged with five offences, including possession of an air weapon in a public place; possession of a bladed or sharply pointed article in a public place; and criminal damage. He was also charged with two counts of common assault in connection with an unrelated incident.
The charges follow reports of a man with an air weapon in the St Neots area on Thursday (July 2) and of a man with an axe in same area on Friday (July 3).
Smith appeared at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (July 4) and was remanded to re-appear tomorrow (July 7).
