Man charged after car driven wrong way on Cambs A1

A MAN has been charged with drink driving after a car was seen going the wrong way on the A1 at St Neots.

Police responded to reports from members of the public who witnessed a car heading north on the southbound carriage way at 9pm on Saturday (April 27).

Officers found the car stopped by the side of the road at Eaton Socon shortly afterwards.

A 32-year-old man from Kempston, Bedfordshire, was arrested and has been charged with driving above the legal limit.

He will appear before Huntingdon Magistrates on May 13.
