Man attacked with sword in Huntingdon

A man was attacked with a sword in Huntingdon yesterday afternoon (Wednesday).

Cambridgeshire police said they were called to an incident in Coneygear Court, off Coneygear Road, at about 2.30pm. A spokesman said a man had suffered serious – but not life-threatening – head injuries. He was taken to hospital.

n A 26-year-old man from Coneygear Court has been arrested and charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He was due to appear in court today (Thursday).
