A man from St Neots was arrested after police found a snooker ball wrapped in a sock.

The 26-year-old was stopped by officers from the neighbourhood team in Kester Way about 1.50pm on Sunday (August 30).

He was arrested on suspicion of two counts of assault causing actual bodily harm, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of class B drugs.

He has since been bailed to attend Parkside Police Station on October 8.
