A man has been arrested after police discovered thousands of pounds worth of cannabis at a property in Hartford.

Cambridgeshire police conducted a raid today (Tuesday) at about 7am at a property in Maryland Avenue.

Officers discovered 39 mature cannabis plants with an estimated street value of between £11,000 and £32,000.

A spokesman for the force said that a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of cultivating cannabis and remains in police custody.

A section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant was used to enter the property. The act allows officers to search any persons, vehicle or property if they suspect that any persons are in a possession of a controlled drug.
