The post office on Oxmoor is to get a makeover in a series of changes that will see its opening hours extended.
The Oak Drive office will no longer close for lunch or shut early on a Wednesday or a Saturday, as its opening hours are more than doubled to 98 hours a week.
Post Office Ltd said the revamp would turn the building into a “modern open-plan retail environment” open seven days a week, offering a wide range of services as well as goods for sale.
Post Office area manager Peter Wilkinson said: “We understand how important having a post office is to residents in Oxmoor and we are confident this new modern post office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.”
The shop will close for refurbishment on Wednesday, March 5 and is expect to reopen on Friday, March 14.
