Children at Holywell Primary School took to the catwalk for a ‘make do and mend’ fashion show, inspired by the Second World War on July 11.
More than 30 pupils from a Year 6 class donned their best handmade outfits, made from old clothes and materials, to highlight the importance of recycling old garments.
Outfits, which were all based on modern clothing, included t-shirts and skirts and students used the assignment to practice their appliqué work too.
The day also saw the children bring in homemade cakes, with all proceeds for the sale going to Help for Heroes.
The school is planning to send around £70 to the charity, which supports servicemen and women who have been injured or wounded while in the line of duty.
