PARAMEDICS were called to a street in central Huntingdon after a man stabbed himself this morning.
Magpas Helimedix Dr Fiona Bowles and paramedic Simon Standen treated the man for a self-inflicted stab wound to his stomach in Ashton Gardens at 10.30am today (Tuesday).
The East of England Ambulance Service found the man, in his 30s, wandering along the road in distress. Police were called to the scene but officers are not treating the incident as suspicious.
The Magpas team gave the man pain relief before taking him to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, with serious but not life threatening injuries.
Dr Bowles said that she hoped the man would now be given the additional help and support he needs.
