MAGPAS Helimedix rushed to a Ramsey petrol station this morning (Monday) to anaesthetise a woman who had collapsed at home.
The woman, in her 50s, collapsed in a house in Nene Parade in Benwick at 8am with a suspected brain haemorrhage. When paramedics arrived, she was unconscious.
The crew needed an advanced medic to sedate the woman and transported her to the Shell Garage, in Bury Road where they met Dr Rod Mackenzie, who anaesthetised the woman.
She was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in a serious but stable condition.
