Firefighters were called to a rescue incident on Saturday to find a cow stuck in mud in St Neots.
The call was received at about 8.45am and a crew from St Neots, a crew from Huntingdon and two crews from Cambridge attended a field off New Street.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Firefighters arrived to find a cow stuck in mud. Wearing specialist in-water kit they released the cow and reunited it with its herd.”
The crews returned to their stations by 11am. The cow was unhurt.
