Louis Smith takes break from Strictly Come Dancing to meet schoolchildren

LOUIS Smith took a break from the ballroom to give schoolchildren a taste of what training to be an Olympic gymnast is like.

Louis, who is taking part in this year’s series of Strictly Come Dancing with professional dancer Flavia Cacace, met youngsters from City of Ely Community College at Huntingdon Gymnastics Club, where he trained in the run up to his London 2012 success.

The pupils got the chance to ask Louis questions about what it takes to rise to the top and the dedication needed to succeed.

Louis has signed up as a Sky Sports Scholar, which means he will work with the Youth Sport Trust to help improve the lives of young people in the UK.
