A LORRY driver suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries and his vehicle was left hanging off a bridge after a crash on the A14 near to Huntingdon.

Part of the lorry was left over hanging the bridge at the Spittals Interchange following a collision with a highways vehicle on the westbound carriageway at 3.17am on Tuesday (June 29).

The lorry driver was taken to Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Huntingdon.

Road closures were still in place during the morning rush hour and a police spokeswoman advised motorists to avoid the area or to expect delays.
