Part of the A14 has been closed after a lorry caught fire today (Friday).

It is understood that both eastbound and westbound carriageways of the road between junction 31, the Girton interchange, and junction 24 at Godmanchester, have been closed while fire crews tackle the blaze.

Calls were made to emergency services shortly before 10.30am. The lorry is believed to be located near junction 27 at Fenstanton.

Motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
