FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a fire on a lorry which caught alight while driving on the A1.
Crews from Huntingdon, Sawtry and Yaxley were sent to the southbound carriageway between Sawtry and Alconbury, 200 metres from the A14 junction, at 8.45pm on Friday.
The fire, which was caused by a mechanical fault, was affecting the front axle of the lorry.
The crews were back at base by 9.55pm.
