MOTORISTS faced long delays in Huntingdon and the surrounding villages after a lorry broke down on the A14 and a crash took place in Godmanchester.
One lane of the eastbound carriageway of the A14 between Spittals Interchange and Godmanchester was closed on Tuesday morning (September 28) after a lorry broke down.
Police were called at 6.10am and the vehicle had still not been recovered at 9am.
On the same morning just after 8am a black Peugeot 206 collided with a cyclist in Post Street, Godmanchester.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said the crash involved a “young male cyclist” but it is not yet known the extent of his injuries.
