Students and staff at Longsands Academy will again be supporting St Neots Foodbank by putting together Christmas hampers for the St Neots Foodbank.

Year 11 prefects who sit on the school’s outreach committee have been leading the project and will be introducing the wider student body to the reverse advent calendar in the coming week. They have produced a video to promote this worthy cause.

Key Stage 4 student voice coordinator Kate Saunders, said: “Students and staff made a huge difference when we embraced the reverse advent calendar idea last year. Our students are again very keen to support people in our local community and to demonstrate their good will as the festive season approaches. It’s a wonderful way for them to understand their social responsibilities and the impact that they can have, we are immensely proud of all that they do.”

The hampers will be presented to the foodbank on December 10.
