At the April meeting of the Leys Women's Institute, the speaker was Angela Wyatt, who gave a most humorous account of her career as a hairdresser.
The competition, Abstract Art from Hair Rollers, was won by Julia Midgley.
Members were reminded that the Safari Supper will be held on June 20, and the stall for the St Ives Carnival on July 8.
The next meeting is at 7.30pm on May 9 at Thorndown School. As usual, visitors are very welcome.
