Detectives are continuing to appeal for anyone with information about the murder of Huntingdon man Sam Mechelewski to come forward.

Sam, 20, was found dead in woodland at Hinchingbrooke Park on February 1. He had been stabbed.

Detective Chief Inspector Adam Gallop said: “A dedicated team of officers from our major crime unit are working tirelessly to bring the perpetrators of Sam’s murder to justice.

“We continue to appeal to anyone who has information about what happened, or who saw Sam on January 31, to get in touch. Any piece of information, however insignificant it may seem, could form part of a bigger picture to help the investigation.”

Police have carried out extensive inquiries in the Hinchingbrooke Park area and divers have searched a nearby pond. Sam was last seen on CCTV at Sainsbury’s supermarket in Huntingdon the night before his body was discovered.
