WITH runners already limbering up in preparation for the St Neots 10k on Sunday, there’s still time to put your name down and help a good cause.

The event – which was listed among the UK’s best 10k races last year – is raising money for the special care baby unit at Hinchingbrooke Hospital (SCBU) in Huntingdon, but runners can collect sponsorship on behalf of any good cause they wish to support.

The run is being organised by Riverside Runners in St Neots, is sponsored by Circle, Anglia Co-op and Turnstone Estates and also involves a 2k fun run.

More than 300 runners have already signed up for the 10k course which follows a mix of off-road, paths, a small section of roads and crosses the River Great Ouse four times.

It costs only £15 to take part with all proceeds going to SCBU, however, it costs more to sign up on the day and this depends on spaces being available.

Runners are advised to park in the town’s car parks as the riverside car park will not be available.

INFORMATION: The St Neots 10k is at 10.30am on Sunday, July 14, with the fun run starting at 9.45am. To register to take part visit www.runnersworld.co.uk and search under “events”. For more, visit 10k.riversiderunnersraces.co.uk

? Runners are also being sought to take part on behalf of the Woodlands Cancer Centre at the hospital to help fund its expansion.
