Kai Nazir, who is charged with murder, attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent and having a bladed article, appeared in the dock wearing a grey suit and tie and spoke only to confirm his name. Nazir, 20, of The Crescent, in St Neots, is facing charges in relation to an incident outside the Monkfield Arms pub, in Cambourne, at 12.35am on October 28. Nazir denies all the charges against him. Christopher West died at the scene from a stab wound and Daniel Berryman was seriously injured during the incident. Judge David Farrell QC dealt with some legal issues and told the court the trial was likely to last for four weeks. The trial was adjourned until tomorrow (Tuesday) to allow for jury selection.
