The trial of a St Neots man accused of murder is due to open on Monday morning in Cambridge.
Kai Nazir, 20, of The Crescent, faces four charges and will appear at Cambridge Crown Court. He is accused of murder, attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent and having a bladed article, all of which he denies.
The charges relate to an incident outside the Monkfield Arms pub in Cambourne at 12.35am on October 31 last year, which left 30-year-old Chris West dead and a second man, Daniel Berryman, seriously injured. A post mortem examination revealed Mr West died as the result of a stab wound to the heart.
Nazir was arrested at the scene of the incident and has been on remand in Peterborough Prison.
The judge in the case is David Farrell Qc.
