Details of Jubilee events in the Ramsey area.

RAMSEY

FLING your flat cap at the garden party being held at Ramsey Rural Museum on Tuesday, June 5.

As well as the unusual flat cap sport, there will be children's races, Somersham Town Band, refreshments, a make a crown competition and fancy dress.

There will also be craft stalls and Suffolk Punch Horses.

A spokesman said: "When planning the games and activities for the garden party we did consider dyke jumping but thought that with today's health and safety regulations, we might not get it past our insurers. Therefore, to keep within the theme of Fen games and activities we turned to flat cap flinging, potato and spoon race and a sack race. We've also got a slow bike race. There will be lots for children to do and craft stalls to see.

INFORMATION: £5 adults and over 15s, children free. From 1pm until 5pm.
