You can also show your support for the Woodlands Cancer Centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital, which is raising money for an £800,000 extension, by taking part in the traffic-free family ride. The event, which is organised by The Hunts Post and Wheels in Wheels and supported by St Ives and St Neots cycling clubs, will see cyclists riding 30, 60 or 100 miles around Huntingdonshire to support the centres fundraising. Beginners on the 30-mile ride can take advantage of the ride captains on the course, who will mentor and motivate you during the ride, as well as provide help on peloton etiquette, drink breaks and other advice. INFORMATION: To sign up for ride captains email firstname.lastname@example.org. For a family ride entry form, visit www.huntspost.co.uk/news/two-wheels-for-woodlands and either send it along with a cheque to The Hunts Post, 30 High Street, Huntingdon, PE29 3AY or bring it along with you on the day. Registration for all distances is at the start at Alconbury Weald. The 100 mile will start between 8am and 9am; the 60 mile between 9.30am and 10am; and the 30 mile between 10.30am and 11am. The family ride can be started between 11am and 1pm. There will be plenty of free parking on site. All cycling routes will be well signposted.
