Staff were reportedly threatened with a knife during an armed robbery at a shop in Godmanchester.
Officers were called to One Stop, in The Causeway, after reports that a man entered the store wielding a knife and demanded that the tills be emptied on Sunday (March 26).
A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said that officers arrived at the scene between 9.25pm and 9.40pm.
According to police, the raider left the shop with about £600 on a bicycle and turned towards the centre of the town.
The police spokesman added: “The man is white and approximately 6ft. He was wearing a dark hooded jacket, blue jeans and a black backpack. He had a piece of purple cloth around his face and neck.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
