At about 3.45am on Wednesday, a crew from Ramsey was called to a blaze in High Street, after reports that a mound of soil, measuring about 20 metres by three metres, was alight. Then, at about 7.30am this morning (Thursday), crews from Huntingdon and Ramsey were again called to an area off High Street to tackle a fire involving a mound of soil. The crews remained at the scene for almost an hour while the blaze was extinguished. According to investigators, the cause of both fires was deliberate.
