Crews from St Neots, Huntingdon and Stanground were called to a fire on West Street at about 2pm.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Using specialist working at height equipment they extinguished the fire with carbon dioxide extinguishers and a hose reel. A sub-surface camera was also to check the ducting for signs of fire.”

The crews returned to their stations by 5.25pm.

An investigation revealed that the cause of the fire was accidental.
