Jason Louis, 31, of Worthington Close, in Stilton, was the driver of a white Ford Transit when it was involved in a crash on the stretch of road at Swavesey, near Fenstanton on Wednesday, April 20. The East of England Ambulance Service and Cambridgeshire firefighters were called to the incident around 4.30pm following reports of a four vehicle collision involving Mr Louiss van and three HGVs. On Wednesday, April 27, assistant coroner from Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, Belinda Cheney, also opened the inquest of Mr Louiss passenger Daniel Marshall, at Lawrence Court in Huntingdon. Mr Marshall, of Mayfield Road in Hartford, and Mr Louis were both pronounced dead at the scene. Mrs Cheney said: The van, driven by Mr Louis, was involved in a four vehicle collision in which the van collided with a heavy goods vehicle and was pushed into another heavy goods vehicle. There were no reports of any other injuries in the incident. The inquest was adjourned while final reports are prepared and is expected to be re-opened again on October 20, when the full inquest in the deaths will take place. Anyone with information on the incident should contact the Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire roads policing unit on 101.
