The event was organised by the Friends of St James’ Church, the parochial church council, and the village hall committee, and saw visitors enjoy an afternoon of fun and festivities at Waresley Garden Centre.

Among the activities on offer were fete favourites splat the rat and the bean bag toss, alongside face-painting, stalls, games, raffles, and much more.

There were also classic cars and tractors on show, as well as craft displays, paintings and pictures to admire.

The event raised more than £3,000, which will be split between the village hall and the church.
