Members of the Huntingdon and Peterborough Federation of Women’s Institutes used their baking skills to raise money for the Woodlands Cancer Centre.
Their cake stall at the treatment centre at Hinchingbrooke Hospital last month raised £545.
On Thursday, a cheque was presented to Woodlands staff in aid of the extension appeal.
Federation chairman Josette Kermath said: “The stall was the idea of Phyllis Brooks, our vice-chairman, and Woodlands is something close to the heart of every member of the WI. We sold out by 1pm. We could have sold twice as many cakes.”
