Joanne Burroughes, Tanya Forster, and Emma DAvilar took on the 52-kilometre Laugaveger trek, in Iceland, at the beginning of the month. The friends walked for three days over varied and rough terrain including lava fields and ice rivers, while sleeping in tents. Joanne said: It was really hard work but very successful and we smashed our target. We were delighted to finish and were shattered after but to do it was a sense of achievement. We are really grateful to everyone who donated. Despite putting their feet up for a well-earned rest, the trio havent ruled out another challenge in future. They raised £11,119 which will be split between East Anglias Childrens Hospices, Huntingdonshire Society for the Blind, Bloodwise and the Willow Foundation.
