STUDENTS across Huntingdonshire will today (Thursday) find out how they fared in their A-levels.

Pupils from colleges and schools in the area – and across the country – will get their results this morning.

Following months of hard work and preparation, many students will now be heading off to university, taking on apprenticeships or heading into full-time work.

Prior to the results being released, the Universities and Colleges Admission Service (UCAS), offered some advice to those waiting to hear if they had got into their chosen university.

It said: “Applicants can log on to track on the UCAS website from 8am to see if they have been accepted or are eligible for clearing. Students should also check their email and post for confirmation letters.

“Students who want to consider a clearing place can start looking at courses with vacancies from early in the morning on the day and they should discuss courses that interest them directly with the universities and colleges as soon as possible.

“Courses with vacancies are listed on the UCAS website. Formal applications to clearing courses can be made through UCAS from 5pm.”

• The Hunts Post will be adding the results from schools and colleges in the area online as they come in. We will also be publishing pictures and reaction, so make sure you check www.huntspost24.co.uk throughout the day.

If you want to let us know how you or someone you know did, then tweet us @huntspost .

You can also submit photos online at iwitness24.co.uk or by e-mailing editor@huntspost.co.uk – these will go in an online gallery and could also make next week’s paper.

See next week’s paper for full results.
