Wood Green has been “swamped” with rabbits and is appealing for foster carers to provide them a temporary home.
The animal charity will provide food, bedding and veterinary care for them during their stay.
Gill Blatch, of Wood Green, said: “We are looking for homes where small animals, especially rabbits, can be looked after until permanent homes can be found. We are currently swamped with rabbits waiting to come into Wood Green to look for loving new homes. Our centres are full and we have nearly 200 rabbits on our waiting list.”
Fosterers for guinea pigs and other small animals are also required.
