Youngsters from two primary schools braved the elements on Monday (February 2) to pick up litter.
Hundreds of pupils from Holywell Primary School and St Helen’s Primary School in Bluntisham took part in a national scheme called The Big Tidy Up and collected more 20 bags of rubbish from their school grounds and their villages.
The Big Tidy Up was launched in 2008 and has involved more than 250,000 people who have collected more than 120,000 bags of rubbish.
The children ventured out one class at a time and tackled specific areas. Pupils from Holywell Primary School are pictured picking up litter at Holywell Park.
