Friends, neighbours, and businesses are joining together to have a cup of coffee and a slice of cake in aid of Macmillan today.

Coffee mornings are taking place around the country, with 20 events in Huntingdonshire alone.

The national campaign encourages community groups to hold their own coffee mornings to raise money for the cancer charity.

Fundraisers are hoping to top last year’s record-breaking sum of £15 million towards practical, medical and financial support for cancer patients and their families.

Since the first event was held in 1991, coffee mornings have raised over £75 million for Macmillan.
