A CAR fire halted motorists travelling on the A14 on Saturday after flames spread to the verge.
Fire crews from Kimbolton and Huntingdon were sent to the eastbound carriageway between Catworth and Leighton Bromswold at just after 6.30pm.
Firefighters arrived to find the car well alight and a fuel fire running across the carriageway which spread to around 30 metres of grass and hedgerow.
The fire was out by 7.35pm.
